I have a female approx 6yrs old that never layed eggs until a large cage was built for her and her sister. I added 2 nesting boxes as they were laying in the seed bowl. The one got very dominant and hurt the other so was told to add more boxes so the less dominant one had a chance to claim atleast one. The aptly named "evil one" then killed her sister after living together all their lives, I was so upset. Now the evil one is continually laying so i keep removing the eggs after about a week before they go rotten but she just lays more.Yesterday i removed the nesting box to stop her laying as ive heard its not healthy for an older bird to keep producing eggs but she seems very unhappy. What do i do? Give her back the box or leave it out of the cage and see if she improves? Ive spent a small fortune on the cage and have lost plenty of sleep with all my budgie dramas and now i seem to have this new dilemma. Can someone please advise on what to do..Megan S.A
