Parrot Pesto is suitable for all Australian parrots
& cockatoos including: Cockatoos, lorikeets, galahs, cockatiels,
ringnecks, rosellas & corellas.
Parrot
Pesto is a seasonal blend of a minimum 4 species
of broad leafed eucalyptus leaves, stalks, buds, immature gum
nuts, flowers and soft bark
These 6 ingredients have been ground to a powder and mixed with
cold-pressed, virgin eucalyptus oil to form a spreadable pesto.
Parrot Pesto contains not only the solid matter of the leaves
but the actual eucalyptus tree saps and flower nectars that
are so loaded with goodness for your birds.
Parrot Pesto contains all the ingredients from
the eucalyptus tree that wild Australian parrots seek out.
One small 1/2-teaspoon size helping once a week (depending on
the size of your bird) provides him/her with the complete dietary
supplement it needs. *
Contains:
- Broadleafed eucalyptus phloem
sap + stalk, bark, nut and leaf tissue.
- Naturally occurring essential
amino acids, proteins & sugars that
are part of every wild Australian parrot's regular daily diet.
- Vitamins A & C, trace
minerals and essential fatty acids that
are not available in a diet of only pellets or seed.
- Naturally assimilable lysine
and methionine for healthy feather,
beak and claw development.
- Cineole which reduces populations
of harmful micro-organisms
that parrots develop in their digestive tracts and so acts
against internal (gut) parasites.
- Chlorophyll that benefits
your bird's body by improving the
supply of oxygen to the circulatory system. It also helps
detoxify the liver, and prevents Fatty Liver Syndrome caused
by seed only diets.
- Enzymes that aid in the digestion
of food and participate in
the chemical processes that turn food into energy. Enzymes
only occur in fresh food and are destroyed by the heat of
most
manufacturing processes.
- 100% organic matter - made
entirely from the eucalyptus tree.

Eucalyptus oil is a well-known germicide that finds its way
into many everyday medicinal products for humans such as inhalers,
mouthwashes, throat lozenges & hospital disinfectants. A
little Parrot Pesto rubbed around the nest box walls will keep
nest mites away. You can also use it on your perches to kill
bacteria that cause diseases of the feet as an alternative to
chemical disinfectants.
